Dunwoodie Golf Course


Opening in 1902, the Dunwoodie Golf Course offers plenty of beautiful views and interesting challenges. Golfers can visit this beautiful golf course while staying at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel. It is 16 miles or about a 30-minute drive. Managed by Westchester County, there are plenty of amenities to make your day of golfing enjoyable. There are practice greens, a driving range, a pro shop, a catering facility, and dining at The Fairways at Dunwoodie. Willie Dunn was the designer of the course. It features dramatic topography with narrow and rolling fairways. Recent renovations have improved some of the holes. Golfing costs $45 on weekends for non-residents. 

Maple Moor


Drive 14 miles for about 25 minutes, and you will find Maple Manor. Opening in 1927, this gold course offers several amenities, including practice greens, a pro shop, and dining at North Street Tavern. Managed by Westchester County, the impeccable grounds are sure to impress. Tom Winton is the designer of this course. It boasts a challenging layout with rolling terrain. To play, it costs about $50 on weekends for non-residents. 

Mohansic Golf Course

Established in 1925, the Mohansic Golf Course is another beautiful course managed by the Westchester County Parks Department. Designed by Tom Winton, it features an 18-hole, par 71 course. Visitors will enjoy the amenities, including a driving range, practice green, clubhouse, pro shop, and restaurant. The course is known for having challenging water hazards, densely wooded areas, and hilly terrain. Scenic views of the surrounding landscape, including rolling hills and mature trees, are enjoyable throughout the course. This facility also participates in environmental stewardship programs to maintain the natural habitat and wildlife. Mohansic Golf Course is just over a 20-minute drive north of the Sleepy Hollow Hotel. 

Saxon Woods Golf Course

Drive about 20 minutes east of the Sleepy Hollow Hotel, and you will find this picturesque golf course. Designed by Tom Winton, it welcomed its first golfers in 1931. Maintained by the Westchester County Parks Department., it boasts rolling terrain, tree-lined fairways, and several water hazards. The facilities include a driving range, practice green, and a clubhouse with a pro shop and snack bar. It is also a part of the larger Saxon Woods Park, where visitors will find additional amenities, including a swimming pool, picnic areas, and hiking trails.
